Poem: Apathy Cloak

Apathy Cloak over deep lidded eyes

The faint breath of sleep eludes my yawn
And though I’m not ready
A new day is born

I spread myself thinly to cover the guise
Throw apathy cloak
Over deep lidded eyes

Laughter is bitter and onslaught the pain
The glare of the future
Before me as Lain

Stretch it for ever the end not in sight
The road well travelled
I trudge on my plight

These shackles I’m dragging bloody my feet
Toes drown in misery
As a new day I greet

What is it worth to the life being played
Fast track before me
Intensity splayed

Join me on the journey as I write my first memoir. I decided that the best way to absorb the memoir writing tips and techniques I've been learning, would be to write about them. So learn along with me, and together we can get this bloody book finally written!
