If discovery is imminent
Then what shall I do
Just face reality
And risk feeling blue?
I thought I desired it
To wallow in its wake
Because projecting this image
My identity is fake.
And so this recipe of decision
Starts closing in
Making existence oppressive
And flavoured with sin.
Living my life
The way I know that I should
Is more difficult than seeing
This slavery as good.
And tied up in shackles
Bonded by pain
The freedom around me
Can’t call out my name.
